Route7: Rethinking How New Drivers Prepare for Their Licence

At Pedalogix Solutions, we often ask the same question: How can we transform information into an experience that actually helps people learn?

That question led us to create Route7, our new bilingual, interactive learning resource designed to help new drivers prepare for their driver’s licence in New Brunswick.

From a Driver’s Handbook to a Learning Experience

The driver’s handbook contains the information new drivers need to prepare for their test. But having access to information and actually learning it are two very different things. We wanted to explore another way. With Route7, we took inspiration from the content new drivers need to know and transformed it into an experience where learners can learn, practise, and check their understanding along the way.

Instead of simply reading rules and trying to remember them, learners interact with the content, recognize road signs, answer questions, and practise important concepts.

Why Route7?

Route7 also represents how we approach learning design at Pedalogix. We believe a good learning experience is about more than putting information online. Learners need opportunities to understand what is expected, practise what they are learning, make mistakes, and receive meaningful feedback.

We also chose to develop Route7 in both English and French from the beginning, making the resource accessible to more New Brunswick families and new drivers.

Now We Need Real Learners

Route7 is still a work in progress and that’s intentional. Before taking it further, we want to see how it works in the hands of the people it was actually designed for.

That’s why we’re currently offering FREE access to new drivers who are willing to try it. We want to know what you think and hear about your experience:

Their feedback will help us shape the next version of Route7 based on the experiences of real learners, not just our assumptions.
